<p><span id="more-146"></span>Once you&#8217;ve watched this 10 minute video, do what I did:</p>
<p>Count up how many of these foods you&#8217;ve had in the past week.  Come on, how many?</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll &#8216;fess up to the fried catfish (one of my favorites) and the baked goods (I&#8217;ve got a bad sweet tooth).</p>
<p>You know, if you really want to lose weight, get fit, and enjoy all the benefits of being in good health, you first must become aware of the nutritional benefits (or the risks) of what you&#8217;re putting into your body.</p>
<p>Second, you need to consistently make better choices in what you eat as well as how much.</p>
<p>Getting and maintain good health is not rocket science.  It&#8217;s making good food, exercise, and lifestyle choices on a daily basis.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a quick exercise routine I found on YouTube. Although they make it look easy, there are a couple of points to keep in mind:</p>
<ol>
<li>Don&#8217;t use weights that are too heavy.  When it comes to fat burning, it&#8217;s better to use lighter weights and do more repetitions.</li>
<li>Make sure to &#8220;baby&#8221; your joints.  This exercise places a lot of stress on your shoulders and knees (as do most of the &#8220;old school&#8221; exercises).  All the more reason to use light weights to begin with.</li>
<li>As with any weight lifting exercise routine, make sure you warm up first.  This reduces the risk of injury.</li>
</ol>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve got these points covered, go work up a sweat and burn off some fat!</p>

<p>This is a short, 5 minute animated video on how to meditate.  Now, I know that there are many people that believe that meditation is anti-Christian or an &#8220;instrument of the Devil&#8221; but that&#8217;s not true.</p>
<p>Meditation is simply a way to reduce the &#8220;mental noise&#8221; created by all of the thoughts, worries, and frustrations that are part of our everyday, hectic lives.  The volume of this &#8220;mental noise&#8221; is turned down to the point that God&#8217;s love and wiscom can actually starting coming in.</p>
<p>I believe that there&#8217;s nothing better than meditation to help you deal with life&#8217;s ups and downs.  And when it comes to worship, meditation helps get you closer to God, however you may define Him (or Her).</p>
<p>It&#8217;s my hope that you&#8217;ll give meditation a try.  This short video will get you started.</p>

<p>What does he mean &#8211; be present?  Of course I&#8217;m present.  I&#8217;m physically there, right?</p>
<p>Well, there&#8217;s more to it than that.  Being present means being there, right there and no where else.  It means not thinking about work, or the weekend, or what&#8217;s on TV.  If you&#8217;re talking to someone you care about, it means listening not only to their words, but also how they&#8217;re saying it, how their lips move, how their body is positioned, taking it all in.</p>
<p>When you listen to someone with your entire being, you REALLY hear what they&#8217;re saying.  THAT&#8217;s being present.</p>
<p>Can you even imagine what a change this would bring to your relationships?  Can you picture it?  Can you think how it would make you feel if someone gave YOU their full attention?</p>

<p>I&#8217;m a nature lover and consider myself an environmentalist.  There&#8217;s nothing I enjoy more than the peace and serenity I feel when I&#8217;m out hiking or camping in the wilderness.  I want my grand kids to be able to enjoy that same experience.</p>
<p>I was convinced that industry is the main cause of Global Warming after reading Al Gore&#8217;s book &#8220;An Inconvenient Truth&#8221; AND watching the movie (the book is better).  However, now I&#8217;m not so sure that modern society is the root cause.</p>
<p>One of the items that Gore points to as evidence of global warming is the change that&#8217;s occurring in the climate of Greenland.  He makes s a dramatic point.  However, one thing that Gore doesn&#8217;t mention is that the climate of Greenland has changed before as part of a natural cycle.</p>
<p>This short, 10 minute video explains and brings up the point that mankind may not be the main cause of climate change, which is what the mainstream media, and many government politicians, want us all to believe.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m posting this because I believe that we need to review ALL the evidence from BOTH sides of an issue.  Take a look and judge for yourself.</p>
